Jaime Herrero
Jaime currently serves as in-house counsel at ProUnitas, a nonprofit education technology company devoted to helping school districts implement systems and best practices that make student access to mental health and basic needs services faster and more efficient.
Jaime is a first-generation American and is passionate about American democracy, civic engagement, and the role that civic education can play in bridging cultural and political divides.
His career includes years as a public defender at the Bronx Defenders, four years as the founder and Executive Director of a nonprofit education organization in Brooklyn, and the Chief of Staff of Phipps Neighborhoods, one of the oldest and largest not-for-profits in NYC.
Jaime has a BA in History and Sociology from Case Western Reserve University and a JD from the University of Texas - Austin.
