Juana Granados

Juana Granados is a Houston native; her family originally lived in the Magnolia Park/Pecan Park area before moving closer to Pasadena. She attended YES Prep – Southeast before heading to college at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated from the College in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Urban Studies.

She began her career in commercial real estate as an appraiser at NPV Advisors in Chicago, before returning to Houston to help open the firm’s first Texas office. In 2020, Juana transitioned to an analyst role in acquisitions and asset management with TRC Capital Partners. In 2022, she moved to Dallas to join Pennrose, a national multifamily developer and owner, as it established a new regional office. She returned to Houston in August 2023 and continues to work for Pennrose as an associate developer focused on multifamily projects in Texas and Oklahoma. Juana will start the professional MBA program at Rice in August.

While at Penn, Juana was a founding member of Penn First, the student group that serves first-generation and low-income students (FGLI) at the University of Pennsylvania. By her graduation, the university had announced that it would open a fully staffed student center to support FGLI students. She has also served as a board member for the Penn Club of Houston (2019-2022), the YES Prep Alumni Association (2020-2021) and the Penn First Plus Alumni Association (2022-present). Professionally, she has participated in Young Leaders development programs at the Urban Land Institute, is a committee chair for the Texas Women’s Affordable Housing Network and serves on the race & equity committee for the Texas Association of Affordable Housing Providers.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and is an avid golfer who plays with the LPGA Amateurs and Women on Course.
